Hypnotherapy has the potential to bring about amazing improvements in your life.

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of awareness in which a person is more capable of accepting outside suggestions. By using hypnosis, we hope to help you to become At Peace with Food by giving yourself unconditional permission to eat what is safe and appropriate for you and your body.

You may not realize this, but you have probably been hypnotized in the past.  Have you ever been traveling, in a car or train, and suddenly realized you have reached your destination, but you don’t know where the time went?  Have you ever been so captivated by a piece of music that you didn’t realize where you were until the music was over?  If you answer yes, then you have been in the relaxed state of hypnosis.

Contrary to popular belief,  “hypnosis is not sleep and it is not a state of unconsciousness. In fact, most people actually have heightened awareness and perceptions while hypnotized.  While hypnotized, the client generally hears and remembers much of what is spoken.  The client can choose to disregard any suggestions the hypnotist makes; therefore the client can choose to maintain control of his actions throughout the session.  Hypnosis makes a person become more inclined to do things he wants to do, but virtually never makes a person behave against his own belief system.”

Hypnotherapy may help you banish guilt-induced eating and discover how to separate the true biological signals to eat from the emotional signals that might also trigger eating.  It may help you learn to treat yourself in a loving, respectful manner and to make food choices that honor your health and your taste buds while making you feel good.
